Walter Wysopal, adjunct faculty in the School of Business, was recently appointed City Manager for the City of Fridley. Fridley is a northern suburb of 28,000 people with an employment base of 25,000. Wysopal will assume his new responsibilities on June 17, after 15 years as City Manager of North St. Paul. He has taught at Hamline for 16 years and epitomizes the practitioner philosophy of the Center for Public Administration and Leadership. Wysopal plans to complete his doctoral dissertation in Public Administration this year and looks forward to his transition to a larger city and the new challenges it will bring.
