Hamline Law's Black Law Student Association is pleased to host its third annual gala event, "Embracing Change, Unmasking Opportunity,” Friday, Feb. 8, 2013. This year's theme highlights the current challenges facing the evolving legal market while communicating a message of endurance and perseverance. The Honorable Tanya Bransford, Hamline Law alumna and Hennepin County District Court Judge, will serve as the event's keynote speaker. Judge Bransford is currently serving in the Criminal and Civil Division.
For the past two years in commemoration of Black History Month, BLSA has hosted an annual gala that brings together Twin Cities legal professionals and Hamline University faculty, staff, and students. The organization seeks to make this event a highlight within the Twin Cities legal community.
The gala will be held in the Anderson Center on Hamline University's Saint Paul campus. The cost is $10 for students and $20 for all others. The evening begins with a reception at 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
