Hamline Law Professor Thaddeus Pope has recently published two articles and participated in a variety of workshops. Among his newly published articles are "Career Guide for the Future Healthcare Attorney," in Widener Health Law Colloquium
(Fall 2012); and "Legal Briefing: Physician Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment," in J. Clinical Ethics
(2012) (with law student Mindy Hexum).
Professor Pope also participated in the Graceful Journey Project through the Minnesota Council of Churches and Honoring Choices. In addition, Pope spoke at New York Law School's symposium "Freedom of Choice at the End of Life: Protecting the Patient's Rights over Government, Health Care Provider and Pressure Group Resistance." In November, Pope moderated and helped organize the Hamline Law Review/Hamline Health Law Institute symposium, "Legal, Medical, and Ethical Issues in End-of-Life Care."
In January, Pope will participate in the "LEC Workshop for Law Professors on the Economics of Litigation and Civil Procedure" in Captiva Island, Florida.
