Northrop, Slagle Earn Honorable Mention

Two of the hardest working members of the 2012 Hamline men's soccer team has earned postseason attention. Sam Slagle (pictured) and Greg Northrop were named to the Honorable Mention portion of the 2012 MIAC All-Conference team. Slagle, a senior midfielder-defender, started all 18 games this year. His 1693 minutes played ranked second (by one minute) on the team. He added offense as well with a goal and a team high five assists.

Northrop, a junior midfielder, tied for the team lead in goals with five and in shots with 32. A steady contributor all season, he helped the Pipers to their first win of the season with a goal and an assist in a 6-1 decision over North Central. And he capped the year with a goal in the team's season-ending 10-0 win over Finlandia.

Senior GK Eric Feil was named to the All-Sportsmanship team.
