Professor Sharon K. Sandeen recently attended the 2012 ABA Annual meeting in Chicago. As the Chair of the IP Committee of the Business Law Section, she oversaw the activities of her Committee and was a panelist for two CLE presentations. The first, organized and presented by the IP Committee, was titled: "The America Invents Act is Here. Are You Ready for the Sweeping Changes to Patent Law?" Sandeen opined on how the AIA may change trade secret law and practice. The second program was sponsored by the Business Bankruptcy Committee and was titled: "Thunderclouds on the Horizon: What Happens If Your Cloud Provider is Insolvent?" Sandeen described "the Cloud" and the typical contractual arrangements between cloud service providers and their customers.
