It was the sort of deja vu event that HU mens soccer coach Alex Morawiecki could have done without. For the second time in 24 hours, Hamline's men's soccer team gave a western invader a rough going over. But Whitworth held firm and scored a goal with 7:14 to play to send the Pipers to a second straight tough 1-0 loss at Paterson Field.
HU goalie Eric Feil was again superb, recording eight saves. But HU was only able to manage three shots on goal to fall to 0-2 on the season.
Hamline returns to action next week with a pair of home games before starting MIAC play at Concordia Sept. 12.. North Central (Minneapolis) comes to Paterson on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 4:00 p.m.. Minnesota-Morris is here on September 8.
