HU Women's Tennis Team Named to ITA All-Academic team For Third Straight Year

Anna Yarbrough

Call it the tennis version of a hat trick. For the third consecutive year, Hamline's women's tennis team has earned a place on the ITA (International Tennis Association) All-Academic team. To make this brainy contingent, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The Pipers were one of just four MIAC schools to be named.

In addition to the team honor, Anna Yarbrough (pictured) was named to the ITA Scholar Athlete team for the third straight year. Elizabeth Allen, and Shamara Duwearatchi made it as first time entrants. The requirements there are even higher a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or more.

Andrew Lutz was the lone HU men's tennis player to make the team.
