Dr. Fahima Aziz, Vice Chancellor of the Asian University for Women, has been named the 2011-2012 recipient of the University of Minnesota’s Applied Economics Department Outstanding Alumni Award. Dr. Aziz received her PhD from the University of Minnesota before going on to chair the Departments of Management and Economics at Hamline University, also in Minnesota, for ten years. She left Hamline in order to join the Asian University for Women earlier this year, in May, 2012.
