MFA faculty Sheila O'Connor was awarded the annual Agnes Hulburd Conger Prize at Honors Day 2012. It's awarded to a Hamline faculty member in CLA whose scholarly work in the humanities is the most outstanding. The FPC Committee recommended Sheila based on her beautiful novel, Sparrow Road, and the descriptions of it that were part of her tenure review file.
