It's probably the toughest test a college athlete can ever face. HU sophomores Adrianna Acosta (3427 points) and Keelie Sorenson (3253 points) came in sixth and seventh respectively in the annual MIAC Heptathlon Competition held May 3-4 at Carleton College in Northfield. Acosta's best finishes were fourth place in the Shot Put and the Javelin. Sorenson's finished directly behind Acosta in the Javelin, her best individual finish.
On the men's side, Andrew Ferguson made a second day upswing to finish with 5293 points, good for 11th place overall. Ferguson scored a second place finish in the Discus (112-8) and was third in the 110 meter Hurdles. He missed getting into thew Top Ten by less than 100 points.
