Men's Tennis Gets Caught At The End By Oles

It was close ... very close in fact ... but a 5-4 loss nonetheless. Hamline chased St. Olaf's tennis team all over the court Tuesday, building up a 4-1 lead. But the Oles, undefeated in MIAC play, rallied to win the last four singles matches and win the overall match.

David Croonquist made a triumphant return to action. He teamed with Sam Teitelbaum to win at No. 2 doubles, 8-6, and won his singles match in three sets. Bernard Mitambo had the same double whiff of success. He and Andrew Lutz won their doubles match, 8-5. Mitambo also claimed a three-set singles win. But the Oles took it from there, winning the last four singles matches in straight sets.

HU is now 5-8 overall, 0-4 in MIAC play. This was their third match in four days. They get two weeks off now. Their next match is April 17 at St. John's.
