Mitambo Wins Pair But Pipers Fall To Elmhurst, 6-3

Bernard Mitambo's excellent spring continued Tuesday. He won his match at No. 2 singles in straight sets and teamed with Sam Teitelbaum for a victory in doubles in the Pipers' 6-3 loss to Elmhurst in Orlando, Fla. Tuesday. Mitambo is now 6-2 this year in singles. He and Teitelbaum are 3-3 in doubles.

The overall match was closer than the final score indicated. Both Andrew Lutz and David Croonquist lost their singles matches in three sets. Lutz' loss was particularly heartbreaking because he lost his third set, 9-11. Derek Lutz had HU's other win in singles.

Hamline is 3-5 overall. They face Calvin  Wednesday.
