Sammons, Poirier Earn Post-Season Honors

Jordan Sammons and Kara Poirier earned multiple recognition form the MIAC's women coaches. Sammons was named to the All-First Year team and joined Poirier with Honorable Mention notice on the league All-Conference teams announced today. In addition, Poirier was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team.

Both started all 25 games for the Pipers. Sammons led the Pipers in nearly offensive category and finished fifth in the league in scoring with 14.3 ppg. She also rank ed fourth in the loop in Defensive Rebounds with 5,12 ppg. Poirier, a junior, easily led the team in Minutes Played (833, tied for seventh in the conference) and ranked second or third in nearly offensive category. The junior needs just 149 points next season to move into the Top Ten All-Time Point producers in Hamline history.
