Hamline has placed 11 student-athletes on the MIAC Academic All-Conference Team for Fall Sports. Football led the way with three participants. Men's and Women's Soccer and Women's Cross Country placed two each. Men's Cross Country and Volleyball had one member each.
Five sophomores made the team along with four juniors and two seniors.
To qualify academically, a student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a
minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. That meant some teams had limited opportunities to qualify. For example, Sam Greeney-Hamlin was the only volleyball player eligible for recognition.
Liz Stock, the senior women's soccer who became Hamline's first-ever COSIDA Academic All-American last fall, made the team for the third year in a row. Carolyne Bocovich, a junior Cross Country runner, earned a berth for the second year in a row.
Athletically, student-athletes in team sports must
compete in 50 percent of their team’s regular-season varsity contests.
Cross country student-athletes were required to finish in the overall top 50 or
their team's top seven at the MIAC Championships.
The Conference announces two Academic All-Conference teams each year. Winter and Spring Sports are combined to make up one team.
