For the second week in a row, Hamline's women's hockey team faces a nationally ranked foe. This time, however, both games are on foreign ice. The Pipers (8-9-2 overall, 4-7-1 MIAC) are up north this week to battle Concordia (10-4-3 overall, 6-3-3 MIAC), currently ranked No. 10 in the country. The teams play Friday night at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Moorhead Youth Rink.

Hamline is coming off a pair of narrow setbacks against league leader Gustavus last weekend. The Gusties, who have just one non-conference loss on the season, were nearly thwarted by superb goaltending by Nicole Jones (58 saves Friday in a 3-2 setback) and Sarah Schneekloth (60 saves Saturday in a 2-1 decision). Hamline's 22 goals allowed is tied for second fewest allowed in the MIAC this season.
Hamline returns home to Warner Coliseum to face St. Catherine on Feb. 17.
