Pipers Win Eight Events At Bethel Invitational

Hamline won eight events at the Bethel Invitational Saturday. The women's team claimed five individual and a team title while the men recorded two solo crowns.

 
Andrea Haus got the women off to a good start with her win in the 600 Meter Run. Kaitlyn Frenchick followed with a triumph in the 800 Meter Run. Maria Theisen ran a 5:26.3 mile to finish first in that event. Becky Culp tossed the Shot Put 12.98 meters and Breanna Coyle unleashed a 17.18 meter Weight toss. The Piper women also won the 4 x 200 Medley Relay.
 
Devin Monson got the men going with his 8:36.44 effort that was good for first place in the 3000 Meter Run. Ellis Richardson was third, five seconds behind his teammate. In the 60 meter Hurdles, Arthur Moore, Eric Hanson and Andrew Ferguson went 3-4-5. Christian Kibler had the other men's win -- a 12.74 m Triple Jump. Brennan McKeag was third in the Weight (17.13 m).
