Men's Hockey Series Available Online This Weekend

It's supposed the coldest weekend of the winter in the Twin Cities. But the men's hockey series between Augsburg and Hamline figures to be hot, indeed. Both teams are battling to stay in the playoff hunt. If you can't get to Augsburg Arena for Friday's 7:00 p.m. game or to Vadnais Heights for the 2:00 p.m. rematch on Saturday, you can follow the action online.

Friday's game will be available via Augsburg's website. Click hereto watch, listen or simply follow the action from Ed Saugestad Rink.

Saturday's game is only available through a special link. Go to www.tjsportsonline.net. to get a special audio broadcast of the game.

As usual, we will also run a live stats field. The link is on the Men's Hockey portion of this site and is also here.

Hamline (6-10-1 overall, 3-5-0 MIAC) , the defending MIAC regular and postseason champ, is currently one behind St. Olaf for the fifth and final playoff position. The Pipers defeated Augsburg, 3-2, in overtime on October 30 in Blaine as part of the MIAC's annual season-opening tournament. Nick Widing's second goal of the game on a power play provided the margin of victory. Cam Stowers had the other HU goal. Hamline held a 33-27 edge in shots on goal that afternoon.

The Auggies, who also made the playoffs last season, stand 6-9 overall, 2-4 in league play.
