Volleyball Team Drops Season Finale

Officially, they aren't kids any more. Hamline, the youngest volleyball team dropped its final match of the year, 3-0, at Augsburg. The scores were 17-25, 19-25, 15-25. They finish the 2011 season with a 9-19 overall mark, 1-10 in the MIAC.

With everybody returning, the Pipers are already looking forward to 2012. Sam Greeney-Hamlin (So., St. Cloud, Minn.), the lone non-first-year player on the team, led the offense Friday with 10 kills. She led this year's team with 257 kills. Sammie Miller (Fy., Grand island, Neb.) had 23 assists (754 on the season) and eight digs. Brittany Bredemus (Fy., Andover, Minn.) also had eight digs against the Auggies.
