Hamline Law Graduates: Ready to Make a Difference

The Hamline University School of Law Class of 2007 graduated on May 19, with 213 graduates from the day and weekend programs and eight LL.M. for International Lawyers graduates. Before receiving their JDs, there were several opportunities for recognition and socializing with classmates, faculty and staff. The third annual Graduate Recognition Banquet on May 16 included recognition of all Moot Court Competition participants, Graduation Day Honors, including three summa cum laude, 18 magna cum laude, and 23 cum laude graduates.

Jeffrey Nath '07 provided the student address, reminding his classmates that there are many ways to make a difference, both grand and modest, and the importance of "looking out for each other" in the professional world. He said that the concern Hamline students and alumni have for one another sets Hamline University School of Law apart from other law schools in the region.

A less formal, but equally fun event was held on May 17 for graduating law students: the annual alumni patio party. With a perfectly groomed campus as a backdrop, students, alumni, faculty and staff took the opportunity to share memories and future plans on the law school patio.
