Event is one of two symposia to be sponsored by student-edited journals this spring
"The 60th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights: A Reality Check," an upcoming symposium sponsored by the Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy, will gather U.S. and international scholars, law practitioners, and government officials. Attendees will reflect on more than half a century of the Declaration's commitment to the recognition and protection of the inherent dignity, and legal and inalienable rights, of all members of the "human family" around the globe. The symposium also will address the future challenges in fulfilling the aims of the Declaration in promoting respect for personal rights and freedom.
The symposium will be held on March 14 from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., with a dinner on the evening of March 13 at 6 p.m. at the University Club in St. Paul. CLE credits will be applied for. Cost: Student rate: $25 dinner only, no charge for symposium; Professional rate: $50 dinner only, $120 symposium only, $150 dinner & symposium; non-profit professional rate: $50 dinner only, $100 symposium only, $125 dinner & symposium.
