Yarbrough, Wallerich post wins in Piper loss

Anna Yarbrough (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn.) and Carissa Wallerich (Fy., West Salem, Wis.) posted singles wins as the Hamline University women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 road match at Saint Mary's on Saturday.

Wallerich paired with Kelsey Eatherton (Sr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) at first doubles, dropping a close 8-5 match. She then went on to win at fifth singles, 7-6 (7-5), 6-1.

Kristen Kiemele (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) and Nicole Krier (Jr., Woodbury, Minn.) dropped their match at second doubles by a break, 8-6.

Yarbrough's singles win came at second singles as she won 6-2, 6-4.

Hamline is now 2-9, 1-3 MIAC and Saint Mary's is 7-9, 3-5 MIAC. The Pipers next play on Tuesday, April 5, at St. Olaf. The match is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m.
