Pipers compete at Northfield Relays

The Pipers' mixed 200-yard medley relay team of  Kryslyn Kalkbrenner (So., Eden Prairie, Minn.), Marreya Bailey (Sr., Brooklyn Park, Minn.), Will Khoury-Hanold (Sr., Kingsford, Mich.), and Isak Vartti (Fy., Hugo, Minn.) finished ninth in the first event of the meet. They swam the event in 1:53.41.

Angela Lesnak (Fy., Chisholm, Minn.), Tasia Lueders (Fy., Richfield, Minn.), Kristen Neff (Fy., Saint Paul, Minn.), Tiffany Thanel (Fy., Moorhead, Minn.), Samantha Fisher (Sr., South St. Paul, Minn.), Erinn Moriarty (Sr., Cottage Grove, Minn.), Carmen Schreiner (Fy., Mankato, Minn.), and Jozie Nummi (So., Superior, Wis.) teamed up for the 900-yard freestyle. They finished ninth with a time of 9:56.21.

Moriarty, Lesnak, Erin Weslander (So., St. Cloud, Minn.), and Bailey comprised the 300-yard breaststroke relay that placed sixth with a time of 3:48.12. In the same distance in the butterfly relay, Weslander, Bailey, Kalkbrenner, and Renne Punyko (Sr., Duluth, Minn.) combined to swim to eighth with a finish of 3:17.88.

In the 300-yard backstroke, Leuders, Schreiner, Kalkbrenner, and Fisher finished 14th in 3:22.60. Weslander, Lesnak, Kalkbrenner, and Thanel were 16th in the 400-yard IM relay with a time of 5:13.10

Bailey, Punyko, and Nummi were seventh in the 1,100 animal relay with a time of 15:09.52.

The 300-yard freestyle relay team of Leuders, Nummi, Neff, Punyko, Abby Ghylin (Fy., Lakeville, Minn.), and Moriarty finished 15th with a time of 2:48.52 to complete the meet.

The Pipers will next swim at home on Saturday, November 7, at 1:00 p.m.
