Robert Becker (Fy., Minnetonka, Minn.) dropped the second set of his first singles match by just a service break as he lost 2-6, 4-6.

Bernard Mitambo (Fy., Minneapolis, Minn.) did the same at second singles, bouncing back after a 0-6 first set to lose the second set 5-7.
