Will Khoury-Hanold (Jr., Kingsford, Mich.) was a 51.38 in the 100 butterfly in the morning prelims, seeding him fifth in the Friday night finals. He swam a 51.41 in the evening session, finishing sixth.
Jake Burgess’s (Sr., Oakdale, Minn.) morning swim qualified for the consolation finals in the 100 backstroke with a time of 55.80. He finished sixth in his heat, 14th overall, with an evening swim of 55.34.
At the start of the evening session, Burgess, Noah Johnson (Fy., Fergus Falls, Minn.), Khoury-Hanold, and David Janezich (Jr., Minneapolis, Minn.) finished eighth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:49.22.
The third and final day of the MIAC swimming and diving championships will take place tomorrow, Saturday, February 21, at the University of Minnesota.
