The duo started off the night with a one-two finish in the 50-yard butterfly, with Khoury-Hanold taking the top spot in 23.52 and Burgess finishing second in 24.29.
They flipped finishes in their next race, the 50-yard backstroke. Burgess touched the wall a fingertip ahead of Khoury-Hanold with a time of 25.82 to Khoury-Hanold's 25.84.
Khoury-Hanold then took a win in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:30.86, while Burgess won the 50-yard breaststroke in 29.83.
The Pipers will swim in day two of the Macalester Invite tomorrow, Saturday, January 31. Prelims begin at 10:30 a.m., while the finals will start at 5:30 p.m.
