Weniger continues dominance with all-around title at UW-La Crosse

Weniger (Sr., Eagan, Minn.) tallied 36.700 points (9.500 on vault, 8.800 on parallel bars, 9.375 on beam, and 9.025 on floor exercise) as she won her first all-around title of the 2009 season.

Her score on the uneven parallel bars garnered her the win on that apparatus, while she finished second on both the vault and beam. She posted a fourth place finish on the floor exercise.

Stenslie (Sr., Renton, Wash.) scored a 9.500 to win the title on the balance beam. Ali Clausen (Sr., Newport, Wash.) was fourth on the apparatus with a personal best score on the event of an 8.850.

Weniger has won an event title at every Piper meet this season, capturing the floor exercise win in her first three meets. Her scores on both the vault and the beam at La Crosse were personal bests.

The Pipers will next compete at home on Friday, February 6, when they will host UW-Eau Claire in a dual meet at 7:00 p.m.
