Flowers and Shelton excel in Douglass Moot Court Competition

Hamline Law students Anjie Flowers (3L) and Kimberlee Shelton (2L) reached the quarterfinals in the recently completed 2010-2011 Frederick Douglass Moot Court Competition, sponsored by the National Black Law Students Association.  The competition featured 14 teams from law schools throughout the Midwest.  The competition included both oral and written advocacy conducted over three, 80-minute preliminary rounds.   Students were required to argue both on--brief and off-brief during the rounds.   Each round was judged by professional lawyers and judges in the community.  The Hamline Law team successfully completed the preliminaries before advancing to the quarterfinals.   The team was coached by Professor Jill Barclift and Judge James Morrow.
