Curious about service-learning or community-based research? Teaching a course that carries a "W"? Want to think outside of the "course-embedded volunteering" box? This working session will introduce a variety of ways to integrate discipline-specific civic engagement and community-based learning into your existing or new courses. We will also discuss best practices of high-impact community-based learning, and suggestions for crafting an effective learning outcome assessment plan.
