Undergraduate Summer Programs Hamline offers multiple summer term courses in various regions around the world. We are also able to work with students interested in using other non-Hamline program providers during these time periods. Please contact the International and Off Campus Programs office for additional information. You can read a copy of the Hamline University Summer Study Abroad Policies here. Hamline Application Process: Search undergraduate summer programs. Review study abroad requirements. Meet with a study abroad advisor. All students applying to undergraduate summer programs must meet with an advisor prior to submitting application. Plan your study abroad budget and meet with the Financial Aid office. Financial aid (typically in the form of loans) may be available, but students must take a minimum of 6 summer credits to be eligible. Semester aid does not apply towards the program cost. Complete Hamline’s online study abroad application before the application deadline. Along with the application, students must also submit a $350 non-refundable summer study abroad fee. After the Hamline application materials are submitted, you will receive confirmation of acceptance by email from the International and Off-Campus Programs office. After Acceptance: Complete the application to your specific study abroad program provider, if applying for a non-Hamline program. You will receive information about this in your acceptance email. You must provide a copy of your application to the IOCP office. Apply for your passport and visa, if needed. Schedule mandatory Travel Clinic visit and submit the Travel Medicine Visit Confirmation form. Participate in pre-departure orientation with the IOCP office and any meetings offered by the study abroad program provider.
