• Holt Endowed Fellowship

    Travel abroad to discover the diverse and changing world in which businesses, organizations, and communities operate.

    The Holt Endowed Fellowship provides financial support to make meaningful learning experiences possible for Hamline School of Business undergraduate and graduate students. The fellowship is awarded to those whose academic pursuits demonstrate commitment to deepening their understanding of global citizenry, increasing their multicultural competencies, and immersing themselves in the ideas, customs, and languages of other cultures.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Enrolled as a degree-seeking student in an HSB graduate program or a declared major or minor in an undergraduate HSB program

    • Good academic standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

    • Admitted to an HSB-approved study abroad program

    • Successful completion of at least two semesters of study prior to undertaking the international experience

    Additional Materials

    • Personal statement of 1-2 pages describing the relevance of your chosen study abroad experience to your academic, professional, and personal goals

    • Copy of the program brochure

    • Current résumé or curriculum vitae

    • Two letters of recommendation speaking to your personal, academic, and/or professional qualifications

    • Fall Awarding Period
      April 1 - Call for applications for Fall Term
      May 15 - Applications for Fall Term due

    • J-Term & Spring Awarding Periods
      September 15 - Call for applications for J-Term/Spring
      October 5 - Applications for J-Term/Spring due

    • Summer Awarding Period
      January 4 - Call for applicants for Summer Term
      January 27 - Applications for Summer Term due

    Selection Criteria

    The Holt Endowed Fellowship Committee will review completed applications according to the mission, vision, and values of the Holt Fellowship.

    Award Notification

    Holt Fellow candidates will be notified electronically approximately two weeks after the application deadline.

    Holt Fellow Candidate Responsibilities

    • Submit a written report to the Holt Endowed Fellowship Committee upon completion of the international experience

    • Attend an annual Holt Endowed Fellowship event
