Hamline to Hamline Collaboration

Since 1991, when it became the first University-Elementary partnership of its kind in the nation, the Hamline to Hamline Collaboration has been working to create an integrated community of students where “College Begins in Kindergarten.” Hamline University students and staff become active members of the community as they immerse themselves in an urban learning environment that encourages, supports, and nurtures strong, confident students. At a young age, Hamline Elementary students aspire to go on to higher education, with almost 100% of students wanting to go on to college (97.5%).
