Backup your data periodically to protect it from unexpected hardware and software trouble. In addition to keeping copies of your important files on your harddrive, you can keep copies on:
- CDs
- USB thumb drives
- Floppy disks
- Your Hamline University personal server space (netstorage).
- Paper copies of critical papers and documents
It is also important to keep within reach a copy of the installation media for all critical software, hardware driver sets, and your operating system of choice.
