Probably the easiest way to access your Netmail account is through the web interface at http://www.hamline.edu/netmail This will allow you access to your email from anywhere with a browser and an internet connection. However, you are also able to access your Netmail account through IMAP (messages are left on the server), or POP (messages are downloaded to your local hard drive). There are benefits and drawbacks to both options, which is probably best suited for a separate post.
For your information, the settings to enable your POP or IMAP client to connect to the netmail system:
POP/IMAP/Incoming Mail Server: netmail2.hamline.edu
SMTP/Outgoing Mail Server: mail.hamline.edu (valid for on-campus only)
Please note that the SMTP server will only work if you are hooking your computer up to hamline's campus network. If you want to use a POP or IMAP client with your netmail account at home, you will have to contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to get their SMTP server.
