As a part of working here at Hamline, you are provided with a Groupwise account to communicate via email. However, you may have other Groupwise accounts that you need to check regularly as a part of your job (ie a generic account for correspondence with students or alumni).
Probably the easiest way to access this account is to set up proxy access from your current Groupwise account. You can contact the helpdesk at x2220 for help in setting up this feature.
You can also set up your Groupwise program to prompt you for the login username and password. By default, when you double-click on the Groupwise icon, it only asks you for your password, and assumes you are using the same username you used to log into Novell. However, you can change the Groupwise program such that it prompts you for the username and password, which will allow you to log into Groupwise as a different username than you used to log into Novell.
To set this up:
Right-click on the Groupwise icon on your desktop, and select "Properties"
Click on the "Shortcut" tab
In the "Target" box, make sure that it says C:\Novell\GroupWise\GrpWise.exe /@u-?
Click "OK"
The end piece (/@u-?) is the part that makes it prompt you for the username.
You can contact the helpdesk at x2220 or further assistance.
