Completing course assignments online
Your instructor may create assignments for you to complete online. Assignments are identified with the symbol .
Assignments may appear within any content area (Course Documents, Assignments, etc.), and will contain instructions and the View/Complete Assignment hyperlink. (See Figure 7).

Uploading/ Completing Course Assignments
- Click on the View/Complete Assignment hyperlink to display the Upload Assignment page (see Figure 8).

If the instructor has attached a file to the assignment (such as related reading, or a list of essay questions), you can open the file and review the contents by clicking on the file name.
- Follow the instructions for completing the assignment. Use the appropriate application (word-processor, spreadsheet, etc.) to complete your assignment.
NOTE: Add the title of the assignment followed by your first name and last name to the name of the file you are attaching.
- After your work is completed, upload the assignment. The following table details the entry fields on the Upload Assignment page:
Assignment Information
Name- Name of the assignment.
Instructions- Instructions for completing the assignment.
Your Files
Comments-Comments about the file. Additional information for the instructor regarding your file.
File to Attach-Click on the button to select the file and then click on the button to add the file.
NOTE: Additional files can be added by clicking on the Add another File button.
•Finally, click on the save button to save your work without submitting it to the instructor, click on the submit button to submit your assignment, or click on the cancel button to abort this process.
NOTE: After submitting the assignment, a new screen will be displayed confirming that the assignment was submitted. You will not be able to resubmit the assignment – unless your instructor removes your previous submission.
Reviewing Course Assignments (Check Grade and Instructor’s Feedback)
Your instructor may grade assignments and post the grades in the Blackboard course web site. You can check the grade of your assignments by revisiting the View/Complete Assignment hyperlinks.
After the instructor grade an assignment and submit feedback in Blackboard, you can review the result. Click on the View/Complete Assignment hyperlink to review the assignment. After clicking on the View/Complete Assignment hyperlink, a new page with the message “This assignment is complete. Click OK to review the result” is displayed. Click on the ok button to review the result. After clicking on the OK button, the Review Assignments page is displayed (see Figure 9).

The assignment information is displayed along with the instructor’s feedback (grade, comments, and/or graded-file).
