The following is excerpted from Hamline's Get Started: Technology for Learning Guide. See the guide for more information.

How to Look Up Your Initial Blackboard Login Information

To access Blackboard you need a username and password. The first time you log into Blackboard, your username and password information is available in the Piperline Secure Area. (More Information on the Piperline System)

Follow these steps to look up your Blackboard username and password:

  1. Go to the Piperline Secure Area
  2. Log in using your Hamline ID Number (or Social Security Number) and Piperline PIN. (More Information on the Piperline PIN)
  3. Click on Personal Information
  4. Click on View Hamline Computer Accounts
  5. Last, click on Blackboard.
The page will display your Blackboard username and your initial password. **Note: Once you change your password, the updated password will not be reflected in Piperline.
