E-mail Account

All Hamline students and employees are required to have and maintain an email account for official university correspondence.

Many official university notices will be sent only via email, and students may also be required to submit assignments and/or receive course material via email.

Update:

The mandatory use of official Hamline e-mail (GroupWise for employees and Netmail for students) accounts began August 1, 2005.

You are responsible for any message sent to you at your Netmail or GroupWise account. Make it a habit to check the account often and maintain your inbox. Many official university notices will be sent only via e-mail.

This change is in response to the spam and blacklist problems Hamline experienced in January, and allows Hamline greater protection against future blacklisting. It also allows Hamline to more easily ensure delivery of messages, diagnose delivery problems, and report and prevent spam.
