Welcome to the Summer Language Institute!

This fun and interactive day camp will provide campers with the chance to learn from native or near-native speakers who are competent in their respective language. Through games and sports, skits, arts and crafts, field trips, and service learning projects our campers will improve their language skills in a unique, enriching, and fun environment while becoming locally engaged and globally connected.

During camp, our instructors and group leaders, who represent a combination of both native and near-native speakers, aim to speak 80 - 100% of the time in the target language, subject to the age and language proficiency of the students. We seek to find a healthy balance between creating a fun, inspiring, and challenging environment. 

Campers will learn in age appropriate groups and through language focused learning experiences. One Language Instructor and two highly proficient Group Leaders will work with each group of ten campers.

• Inspire and create a sense of excitement in our campers about learning a foreign language
• Expose a child to different cultures
• Foster a greater sense of self-confidence and team spirit in each camper
