Shavuot

Shavuot marks the conclusion of the period of seven weeks that follows Pesach. Shavuot commemorates the giving of the Torah to the Israelites and the completion of God's purpose to create a special people. It is celebrated for two days in the Diaspora and for one day in Israel and among Reform Jews.
Work is restricted.

The 2009-2010 Religious Holiday Calendar is in progress. Please check back in September.
