2010/2011 YEAR
Please Note: The 2010-2011 FAFSA application is required for consideration for financial aid for the Fall 2010, Winter 2011, and Spring 2011, Summer 2011 semesters.
1. Gather the following documents
- Federal income tax returns for 2009
W-2 forms for 2009
- Records of untaxed benefits received for 2009
- Current bank statements
- Records of other savings and investments, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds (do not include retirement or pension accounts).
- 2020-2011 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from your high school guidance office or apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
2. Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1, 2010. We encourage you and your parents to complete your 2009 Federal tax forms before filing the FAFSA. Hamline's priority deadline for filing the FAFSA is March 1. Admitted students who file a FAFSA by March 1 receive priority for both need-based financial aid and Hamline scholarships. If you file the FAFSA after March 1, please complete the form as soon as possible. Remember to list Hamline's federal school code, 002354, as a recipient of your FAFSA analysis.
If you have unusual circumstances you want us to know, please e-mail Hamline University to request a "special circumstance" form.

- Records of untaxed benefits received for 2008
- Current bank statements
- Records of other savings and investments, such as stocks, bonds, mutual funds (do not include retirement or pension accounts).
- 2009-2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from your high school guidance office or apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov
2. Complete the FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1, 2009. We encourage you and your parents to complete your 2008 Federal tax forms before filing the FAFSA. If the federal government selects you for a process called verification, you must also submit a 2009-2010 Financial Aid Verification Worksheet and signed copies of 2008 federal tax returns.
