Safety and Security Services would like to inform the Hamline Community about a suspicious person on campus who was involved in indecent conduct. Two separate incidents occurred by the Heights on Friday, February 24, 2006.
The first incident occurred in the Heights parking lot by Peterson Hall at approx. 7:15 p.m. The second incident involved the indecent conduct and occurred by Osborn Hall at approx. 8:30 p.m. Suspect was observed by students outside the lounge window masturbating. He ran off when observed.
The suspect description is as follows:
Race: White male
Age: 40’s
Height: Approx. 5’9” – 5’11”
Weight: 200 – 230 pounds
Hair: Short, brown
Build: chubby
Clothing: In first incident: Black and red ski jacket, a diagram of a diamond on the back, grey sweatpants, black Nike tennis shoes, dark blue/white wool hat with pom poms on top. 2nd Incident: black jacket with red stripes on the shoulder.
Other: Wearing prescription eyeglasses.
A witness to the earlier incident, believes this person is possibly RICHARD CHARLES STEVENS, DOB: 1/25/65. An alert involving Stevens was put out by Safety and Security on October 28th, 2005. This alert can be found on the Safety and Security Web site. Mr. Stevens has a previous conviction for felony stalking.
