Marie Gross is one of the best players on the team. Coaches think she is definitely a player to watch this season and hope she can improve her offensive numbers…In 2005-06, Gross was named All-MIAC first team after scoring six goals and six assists in 25 games. She was second on the team with three power-play goals. She tallied a goal and an assist against both Finlandia (Nov. 12) and Augsburg (Nov. 18)…In 2004-05, Gross played in all 24 games and was tied for third on the team in scoring with two goals and five assists for seven points. She scored her first collegiate goal on the power play and added an assist in the Pipers’ 5-2 win over Finlandia on Dec. 17. The following day Gross scored short-handed against the Lions… In high school, Gross was an all-conference selection and team captain during her senior season. She was also named team MVP and winner of the “Warrior Award” for team leadership and outstanding -commitment. During her junior year, she was an all-conference honorable mention selection… Her major is undecided. She is the daughter of Andy and Annette Gross. |
