JR: Nichols played in 32 games for the Pipers, averaging 10.34 assists per game. She dished out a total of 331 assists, had 20 kills, seven blocks, ten service aces, and posted 82 digs. Nichols had a season high of 54 assists on Sept. 14 versus Luther College. She also recorded 30 plus assists on five other occasions, dishing out 39 on Sept. 5 against Martin Luther, 34 on Sept. 7 versus Grinnell College, 40 on Sept. 8 versus Bethany Lutheran and 43 against St. Kate’s, and 41 on Sept. 12 against St. Mary’s. On Sept. 8, Nichols was named to the St. Kate’s All-Tournament Team after posting 158 assists over the weekend.

SO: Nichols played in 71 games, where she averaged 10.82 assists per game and 2.52 digs per game. She set a season-high of 64 assists against St. Thomas on Oct. 18. She also had 54 assists against St. Olaf on Sept. 20 and 57 versus St. Benedicts on Sept. 27. Nichols had a season-high of 17 digs against St. Mary’s on Sept. 29. She also had 16 digs versus the Oles. Nichols ended the season with 15 aces and 21 blocks (two solo and 19 assists). She served three aces against Luther College on Sept. 30.

FY: Nichols played in six games, dishing out 49 assists. She had 25 assists against UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 22.

In high school, Nichols was a two-time all-conference setter in the Central Minnesota Conference. She was her team’s most dedicated athlete as a junior and senior and was the team Most Valuable Player in 2004.  Nichols is majoring in math education and exercise & sports science. She is the daughter of Brian and Barb Nichols.
