Jonathan Tapia is already a factor at the MIAC level and this year he will look to make his mark at the national level. Both the coaches and Tapia expect big things this season…In 2005-06, Tapia broke three Hamline records. He individually broke the 200-yard fly in a time of 1:54.22 and was a member of the 400 free and 200 medley relays which broke records. He finished second in the 200-yard fly at the MIAC Championships with his new Hamline record time, which also was a national B cut time. … Tapia holds national records in Ecuador in the 13-14 and 15-17 age groups. He was a member of Ecuador’s national team…Tapia is a management, economics, and political science major. He is the son of Jorge and Carmita Tapia. |
