| John Burgess is the lone male senior returning for the Pipers this season and is described by Hanson as an “explosive sprinter with great technique.” Burgess is a two-year letter winner for Hamline and a two-year MVP. Last season, he placed 16th at the conference meet in the 100-yard freestyle. He also placed 13th in the same event in 2003… In high school, he held three school records, was the team MVP, and a state qualifier… Burgess is a management and anthropology major. He is the son of Al and Shelly Cocchiarella. | ||
