Ted Zingman![]() Alma Mater: Johns Hopkins University '00 E-mail: tzingman01@hamline.edu Phone: 651-523-2065 Ted Zingman begins his third year at the helm of the Hamline women's soccer program. In his first year as head coach, Zingman led the Pipers to their best finish in school history with a record of 10-8-0, 4-7-0 MIAC. Zingman's 2007 squad set several school milestones, including most wins in a season (10), highest finish ever in the MIAC (tied for 8th), and most shutouts in a season (7). Two of Zingman's players also hit individual conference milestones in 2007. Senior Ann Donner was the first Hamline player to lead MIAC in goals (14) and in points (33). First-year player Jamie Kelly was the first Hamline player to lead MIAC in assists (9). Zingman assisted at Johns Hopkins for the past three seasons, where the Blue Jays were a combined 50-11-4 in that span. In 2006, Johns Hopkins finished with a record of 18-2-1 – the best record in the program’s history. They won their second straight Centennial Conference championships with a perfect 10-0 record and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. During his time at Johns Hopkins, he coached one All-American, six All-Region players, and four Academic All-Americans. Zingman holds a United States Soccer Federation ‘B’ License and National Soccer Coaches Association of America State and Goalkeeper I Diplomas. As a player at Johns Hopkins from 1996-99, Zingman helped the Blue Jays to three NCAA Tournament bids and one NCAA Quarterfinal appearance. He was a two-time All-Centennial Conference selection, setting the school’s single season record for goals in a season (23) in 1999. He also received All-Region accolades that season. Zingman earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Johns Hopkins in 2000. |
