Nora Austin

Nora Austin brings a familiarity with MIAC soccer to the Pipers as she enters her second season as an assistant coach.

Austin was four-year starting defender for MIAC rival Augsburg College. In her sophomore season, she earned All-MIAC first team honors as well as being named her team’s defensive Most Valuable Player. In both her junior and senior seasons she earned All-MIAC honorable mention recognition, including tallying five assists (all in conference play) in 2004. She finished second in the MIAC in assists that season. Austin scored two goals and six assists in her career at Augsburg.

She has served as a coach with the Eagan Traveling Soccer Club since 2004. In 2007, Austin’s U16 girls Classic 1 team posted a 21-7-5 record en route to several successful tournament appearances.

Austin graduated from Augsburg in 2006 with her bachelor’s in physics and a minor in mathematics.
