| Sara Mickelson is a natural power hitter with great patience. She will log hours in the outfield again…In 2005, Mickelson was named All-MIAC first team and All-Region second team after playing and starting 41 games in the outfield and third base. She batted .410 with three doubles, two triples, and a Hamline season record 10 home runs. Mickelson had 43 RBIs and scored 24 runs. Mickelson had 15 multi-hit games and six games with three hits. Mickelson added nine games with at least two RBIs. In a doubleheader with St. Olaf on April 26, Mickelson went a combined 6-for-8 with three home runs, 10 RBIs, and four runs scored. She hit a three-run homer in Hamline’s 4-3 win over St. Benedict to clinch a playoff berth on April 30. For her efforts that week, she was named MIAC Player of the Week. Mickelson was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and four RBIs versus Buena Vista on March 24…In high school, Mickelson was an all-conference honorable mention selection… Mickelson also plays on the women’s hockey team. Mickelson’s major is communications. She is the daughter of Greg and Barb Mickelson. | ||
