Fy: Wanvig played in 22 games for the Pipers at goal. He recorded a record of 7-15-0 after making a total of 694 saves in 1324:01 minutes of play.

In high school, Wanvig was a two-time all-conference selection in the North Suburban Conference. He was also chosen for the Great 8 Senior Festival. He was named to the elite league NIT Tournament team and the Warroad All-Tourney team. Wanvig is a communications major. He is the son of Marc Wanvig and Dorothy Hoffman.
