Joe Long enters 2006-07 as one of the team’s captains. He is a leader in all situations. Coaches believe he is one of the best players in the MIAC …In 2005-06, Long was named All-MIAC honorable mention after scoring seven goals and 15 assists for 22 points – good for second on the team. He also led the Pipers in power-play goals with four. Long scored two goals and two assists in Hamline’s 7-0 win over Concordia on Jan.. 20. He dished out three assists versus UW-Stevens Point on Nov. 12. Long scored two points or more in seven games on the season…In high school, Long was named all-conference in the Northwest Suburban Conference on two occasions. He was named his team’s Most Valuable Player and captain during his senior season…Long’s major is undecided. He is the son of Dan and Sheila Long. |
